Who Can Benefit from the Additional Exam Right?
1. Non-thesis master's program students must meet the following conditions in order to take the additional exam.
- Students who have taken the courses in the program curriculum and the project course but have not achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.00
- Students who have passed the project course but failed at least 1 and at most 2 courses
2. Thesis master's program students must meet the following conditions in order to take the additional exam.
- Students who have successfully completed eight courses by the end of four semesters but have not achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.00
- Students in their fourth semester who have taken courses together with Thesis-1 and Seminar and failed
- Students who, by the end of four semesters, have not passed the credit courses in the program curriculum with a cumulative GPA of 3.00 and have not successfully completed the Thesis-1 and Seminar courses, or who have not fulfilled the success conditions/criteria set by the Council of Higher Education within this period
General Rules:
- The additional exam right may be used for a maximum of 2 courses (with grades F/C/C+/B-).
- Additional exams cannot be taken for courses graded NA.
- Additional exams cannot be taken for Thesis, Seminar or Project.
- Students with missing credit courses cannot benefit from the additional exam right.
Application:
- Applications will be received in person, and the additional exam request form must be submitted with a wet signature to the Graduate School Student Affairs Unit.
- Students residing abroad or outside the city may send their (signed) additional exam request forms in PDF format by email to selen.ekinci@bau.edu.tr or gunay.korucu@bau.edu.tr.
